Kerubo is a young male African wild dog living in the Samburu region of northern Kenya. When Kerubo was born, his family had denned so close to a settlement where livestock were kept that there were some conflicts. Tragically, one of the adults was killed as a result. As soon as Kerubo and his sibling pups were old enough to run with the pack, Kerubo's family left the area. With more open habitat and wild prey to sustain them, the dogs had no further interest in livestock, and there were no further conflicts reported.

Your adoption will help AWF support and expand the wild dog research programs as part of the Saburu-Laikipia Wild Dog project.
